Covid Period Support

The HEI continued its work with equal zest during the tough time of COVID 19 pandemic. During the gloomy days of pandemic, the faculties of the college started taking online classes like previous year. More than 1000 classes had been taken during this time. The college had successfully completed 1st and 2nd dose of vaccination drives for the students, teachers and non- teaching staffs. During this period, college has organized multiple online workshops, webinars (National and International) and other academic courses along with different co- curricular activities such as cultural and NSS programmes. During this time, the institution used to provide telephonic counselling to the students who required the service in order to uplift their mood and handle other psychological issues. Students’ Credit Card, a government of WB initiative, was introduced during this time, via online/offline orientation programme. After re-opening of the college, strict COVID protocol was maintained with COVID awareness programmes along with the use of myriad banners, placards and webinars. The college was sanitized and cleaned on a regular basis during pandemic and even after the re-opening of college using government and college resources. Non-contact infrared digital thermometer, foot-operated hand sanitizer dispenser and sanitizers were procured and were used as per the need of the time. The faculties of the department of chemistry prepared sanitizers for the college usage.
